After about a month of setting up my new coffee station, I feel like I finally have a good understanding of what accessories have been essential in making it convenient.
At the moment, I have a Nespresso machine, which makes the whole clean up process a lot easier. Since I will eventually upgrade to a heavy-duty espresso machine, I will have to make a bit of an adjustment in the future. However, right now hubby just loves his shot of espresso and I’ve been using our station for my fancy lattes.
Now all of my suggestions may not apply to you especially based on how you drink coffee at home, but this is what has been working really well for us and our needs at home.
Coffee Station Essentials
Ideally, I would have also loved a smaller fridge close by with my oat milk, but that just wasn’t possible in this scenario, and the fridge isn’t too far anyway.
- Coffee bar: I’ve noticed that it’s really nice to have a dedicated space for your coffee needs as I found that having my set up in the kitchen was just a bit cluttered. Just make sure to have lots of shelves or closed storage in your coffee bar so that you can keep some stuff hidden in a basket or behind a cabinet door.
- Coffee Machine: You’ll probably need a grinder too if you’re planning on getting a proper espresso machine…
- Pod holder: This is great for those of you who keep a lot of Nespresso pods at home.
- A basket for things you may want to hide (I hide my syrup and water bottles in one).
- Syrup pump/container: I don’t have this yet, but I’m planning on getting one from Etsy.
- A sugar/brown sugar and cinnamon pot: I add cinnamon to my coffee, but you can put anything in here that is part of your daily coffee ritual.
- Spoons and a container for them
- Mugs: You don’t need to keep a lot of mugs out – just enough for your daily needs.
- Dessert stand: It’s so nice to see coffee and dessert paired together at coffee shops, so I figured I’d keep my dessert station at home close to my coffee.
- Dessert plates: How else are you going to eat your yummies?
- Tea towel: I keep one on the counter 24/7. It’s just essential to make sure your coffee doesn’t stain anything.
- Plant: It adds the perfect amount of color!
Here are some pictures of the things that I’ve used in my coffee station…
Note… You’ll need an electrical outlet, so keep that in mind when picking your coffee station wall!
