While in the Lake District, we spent half a day each at the towns of Bellagio & Varenna. I would’ve loved to have gone to Menaggio as well, but the weather was not fully cooperating with us. While each town had its own special charm, I especially enjoyed the shopping in Bellagio! They had ceramics, jewelry, shoes, leather purses, and lots of amazing accessories. I bought 2 pairs of very reasonably priced earrings from a really cute store called Saraceno.
The best part about our visit to Varenna was stopping by Villa Monastero, a House Museum and historic residence. While there wasn’t really much to do there, the garden was a sight to see and the views of Lake Como from the residence were probably some of the best I had seen all trip!
