When I walked into Munirah’s home, I knew exactly what direction she wanted to go in, and I knew exactly how I could enhance it.
Munirah is a minimalist who loves neutral transitional furniture. She already had some great pieces in her living space that I knew I could work with. I didn’t even touch her cushions because I loved them so much! Her dining room, however, was a complete blank slate, so I wanted to go with the same aesthetic while giving it a bit of character and a coziness factor.
Since she really liked white walls and didn’t want to cover the floors with anything other than rugs, I decided to enhance the look with interesting furniture. I also knew that layering the window treatments would also really help cozy up the space while filling up the empty walls. Luckily, we found some beautiful key pieces like the dining chairs and a textured cabinet. I was also able to convince her to let me steal a mirror from another room to add even more character!
