My 2020 IKEA Favorites

It’s that time of the year again – the 2020 IKEA catalogue is out and it has some awesome products in it that I know you would just love to see!

I originally thought my list would have about 20 items on it, but I could barely get it under 30! I have 26 favorites listed below, and have also included some “honorable mentions” below that because they’re good products, but not quite faves yet… I have to say though that IKEA really stepped up their photo and print game this year. There are lots of interesting and fun prints to choose from, and they can be used all over the house for totally different purposes!

HONORABLE MENTIONS

BJÖRKSTA (200 x 140 cm) SERIES

So one of my honorable mentions is actually this beach photo below. I love it SO much, but it is SO massive. I mean really massive – it’s 78″ (200 cm) x 55″ (140 cm)! They actually have a few of these beautiful landscape photos in the same size so while I think it can be a great addition to a big wall that needs to be filled, it will definitely be too large for a lot of homes. Honestly, if they had made a smaller print version of this (40″ x 30″-ish), I would have picked up one for my house, and this product would be one of my top 3 faves!

JONAXEL SERIES

The new JONAXEL series is fantastic! Now the reason this isn’t on my list is because I don’t really consider this to be new as it’s a classic IKEA piece in my books. They’ve had this structure in the past, and I’m so happy that they have an updated version this year as it is so useful for storage purposes. I have 2 in my closets right now, and I love that they are so understated and easy to move around if need be.

EKOLSUND RECLINER

Now I also wanted to show you the EKOLSUND recliner for a very different reason. It’s an honorable mention, but it’s really borderline. I don’t love the shape of this – it’s a little too curvy for me, but since they rarely make recliners, I thought you needed to see it.

PELARBOJ TABLE LAMP

And last, but certainly not least, is this awesome light fixture! It’s ideal for a kids a room and especially if you want to add some mood lighting to the space. It can even switch between 7 different colors! If we had kids, this would not only be a fave, but I would totally pick this one up. Immediately.

So some of these items may not show up online as “in store” at the moment, but they’ll be there soon or are sometimes already on the floor, in my experience.
