This year, I styled a Ramadan table with the Ramadan collection from West Elm. Can you believe that? A globally accessible home store designing collections with Muslims in mind! It just makes me really happy, and frankly, makes decorating a whole lot easier.

STYLING MY TABLE
While for an Iftaar table, the food is the most important thing, I really do like to have a permanent fixture of seasonal flowers and candles as table decor during the month. They both add a sense of festivity and can really help set the mood later in the evening. And then if you’re hosting family or friends, you just have to add your dinnerware and serveware to the mix. I always make sure to design the table so that I have enough space to nestle in some food.
My table started off with a nice large white vase with some wax flowers in it and smaller glass vases (that are actually candleholders but I just love the shape of them!) for more flowers. The brass candleholders are large but the glass gives it a sense of lightness! It was a pretty simple set up conceptually, but looked so beautiful especially at night…
